What is the Black Birthworkers Brunch?
The Black Birthworkers Brunch isn't just your typical gathering—it's a special networking event designed for birth workers who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or a person of Color (BIPOC). It's an opportunity for these individuals to come together, share experiences, and gain insights while enjoying a delicious food, networking, shopping and great conversation!
We're excited to announce that the Black Birthworkers Brunch is back and better than ever! This year, our theme is HEAL: Heal a Mother and You heal a Nation. The brunch aims to create an inclusive space for black and brown mothers and birthworkers. We will focus on supporting maternal black motherhood and providing a nurturing environment for mothers to connect and heal through conversation, laughter, good food and most importantly love! Our hopes with this event is for us to:
- learn how to build relationships with clients by integrating cultural and western traditions
- learn how to support a client's emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being during pregnancy, labor, postpartum and more.
- learn about different roles in the birthworker community and how to maneuver through them
- learn about the importance of community and how to support one another through the work that we do
- learn how to build and sustain a birthworker business
- And much more!!
